Arriving by Plane

Bolzano Airport is only about a 30-minute drive from Algund. There are direct flight connections from Brussels, Copenhagen, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Zurich, Hamburg, Berlin, London, and Düsseldorf.

For onward travel from Bolzano Airport to Algund, several options are available:

SASA bus lines 10A and 10B run regularly to Bolzano city centre and to the main train station.
A taxi rank is located directly in front of the terminal.
The transfer from Bolzano train station to the airport takes only about 15 minutes.

In addition to Bolzano Airport, the nearest airports are Innsbruck (approx. 2 hours by car), Verona (approx. 2 hours), Bergamo (approx. 3 hours), Venice (approx. 3 hours 15 minutes), Bologna (approx. 3 hours 15 minutes), Milano (approx. 3.5 hours), Treviso (approx. 3 hours), as well as Munich (approx. 4 hours) and Salzburg (approx. 4 hours).

All airports are well connected via shuttle services to the respective train stations and by trains operated by the Italian State Railways, Deutsche Bahn (DB), and Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) to South Tyrol.

Transfer Options

The Südtirolbus Airport Shuttle offers daily connections from the airports of Munich, Innsbruck, Verona, Bergamo, Milan, Salzburg, Memmingen, Zurich, Treviso, and Venice, as well as transfers to and from Bolzano train station and Bolzano Airport.

Arriving by bus

Thanks to its central location near Merano, Algund is easily accessible by bus.

Flixbus

The FlixBus companies make their buses stop in Merano/Meran, Lana and Marlengo/Marling. FlixBus offer year-round bus connections from every European country. Via the transport node points Munich and Verona, FlixBus travels to South Tyrol several times a day.

Itabus

From 17 June to 12 September, the long-distance bus provider Itabus will once again be operating several buses a day to and from Bolzano. In addition to the routes from Turin via Milan with stops in Verona, Bergamo Airport and Novara, the Itabus also connects Bolzano with Naples, Rome, Florence, Bologna and Padua this summer.

The Itabus fleet are latest generation buses and feature comfortable reclining leather seats with folding table, lights, power and USB sockets at every seat, toilets, free WiFi & snack vending machines.
